Everything is biting at the mouth of the Mississippi River

The Mississippi River has been low and slow for five months now, and that’s allowed beautiful green water to infiltrate every bayou, pass and pond near Venice, making for some of the most productive fishing in recent history.

Last week, I hopped aboard with Capt. Triston Elston to see what we could catch, and the action was virtually nonstop on a variety of species.
