There literally is no better way to catch crappie this time of year than the one I put to use this week on a cypress-lined river not too far from my house.
Not only is it effective but it’s a lot more fun, since crappie actually hit with the ferocity of fish far bigger and, you would think, more aggressive.
Oh, and you definitely want to cook them the way I did in this video. It’s the best fish I’ve had in years!
