When you drive through South Louisiana, it’s easy to look past the countless roadside canals and marsh edges as just another piece of the scenery. But what a lot of folks don’t realize is that those everyday waterways we pass by on our daily commutes are absolutely teeming with hidden life. In this video, we’re pulling off the highway to tap into some of that local bounty. I’ll be exploring a few publicly accessible spots to see what we can haul in from the bank, specifically targeting fresh shrimp and blue crabs for a catch-and-cook harvest.
