This Remington Rolling Block Type 1 came to me through the family. It is chambered in 43 Egyptian. I have 1/2 a box of 43 Egyptian shells with it.

This 150 year old rifle is in outstanding shape!

The Egyptian Issue is one of the earliest Rolling Blocks, maybe 1880s or thereabouts. All the markings are in Farsi!

These rifles were purportedly sold to the Egyptians, appropriated by the French, captured by Sudan, and who knows what else! The history is strong with this one.

It is retaining it’s original finish, and is in quite remarkable condition. This gun “didn’t get out much.”
The action is smooth and crisp, the screws have not been damaged, it looks to be completely untampered with.

With half a box of shells.
