The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announces the temporary closure of Elmer’s Island beginning on Aug. 27, at 6:00 p.m. due to the anticipated impacts of Tropical Depression 9. As a precautionary and preparedness measure Elmer’s Island will remain closed until further notice.
