LDWF shooting ranges remain open but public access limited

Most shooting ranges operated on Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) properties remain open but the number of participants at any given time is limited due to constraints imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

All LDWF ranges will be open on the normal days and hours but restricted to a maximum of 20 users on the range at a time.

The Pearl River-Honey Island Shooting Range is closed at this time due to flooding at the Pearl River Wildlife Management Area.

In addition, LDWF is asking the public not to bring large groups or spectators to the ranges, only shooters. Upon arriving at manned ranges and before unloading equipment, users should check in with the Range Safety Officer on duty. Users are asked to wait in their vehicles or away from the range if ranges are at maximum capacity.
