The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries announces the temporary closure of Elmer’s Island Wildlife Refuge beginning on Thursday, October 8, at 12:00 p.m., due to the anticipated impacts of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaias in the Grand Isle area.
