The Woodworth Shooting Range will be closed on Sundays effective Feb. 2, 2020, the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) announced. The range will continue to be open from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday of each week, except the third Saturday of each month when it is open from noon-5 p.m.
The range also irregularly closes for LDWF special events, repairs and construction. For the most up to date information on Woodworth Range operating hours, visit their Facebook page.
LDWF is seeking volunteers to be trained as range safety officers for the purpose of expanding shooting range hours, including a return to Sunday operations.
