Louisiana pros fail to make top 12 cut.
With turkey season wrapped up, it’s time to choose winners in the 2011 Turkey Photo & Video Contest. LouisianaSportsman.com users will determine the winners, so be sure and visit the contest page now.
Winners of the photo and video contest will each win an Official Sportsman Gear package that includes a complimentary one-year magazine subscription and a $15 Sportsman Outdoor Store coupon good for any of our Sportsman Gear.
Voting continues through Sunday (April 24). Winners will be announced Monday (April 25).
Site administrators chose six photos from among the 60 entries submitted during the contest period. Only registered users of LouisianaSportsman.com were eligible for the contest.
In the running are “Early Gobbler,” submitted by user Phil Demarie (known as “pjdemarie4″ on the forum) and Scott Howell’s (he uses his real name as an alias) “Opening Morning Bird.”
Joining them are Stephen Corte (aka “stephenc”) with “The Three Amigos” and Daniel Andre (known on the site as “oilfieldtrsh81), who submitted a photo titled “Black Bayou, Lottie, LA.”
Rounding out the field are “MS Bird #2” by Dusty McGehee (dustmac22) and “Opening weekend in South Mississippi” by Neil Hunt (or “08rdskeeter”).

There are four vids in the video contest, and the winner of this division will be determined by the total number of views.
User Lee Lawson (aka “-Duckaholic--”) entered two vids, while Brandon Brown (“Brandon019”) and Byron Styron (“rockhead30”) each submitted one video.
Styron’s “opening morning gobbler” currently is leading the video contest.
To cast your vote, simply watch a vid and your view will count for as a vote.
