Double your hunting fun with duck, squirrel combos

For those obsessed hunters who just can’t give up precious duck days to stalk squirrels, why not combine the two?

If there are sloughs or small creeks where you hunt, wear chest waders and carry a shotgun and No. 5 or No. 6 steel shot.

You can watch for wood ducks in the water and squirrels on the ground — and get the makings for a good gumbo.

Just remember that you cannot carry lead shot while duck hunting.
