Size matters

In stalking, a hunter’s height can actually work against him because visibility is sometimes better closer to the ground, especially when there are thick bushes in the targeted area.

Many times deer can spot a hunter’s legs first because it can see under brush.

So reducing your height by walking in a dry creek bed or donning chest waders and slipping down a slough might significantly increase your field of view.
