Hunting-camp roads spiked, camps vandalized.
Roads leading hunting camps near Plain Dealing area have been spiked, and the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office is asking for public help in finding out who has been carrying out this vandalism since last year, according to news reports.
Bossier Parish Sheriff Larry Deen said more than 20 tires have been damaged in the incidents, the Associated Press reported.

Deen told the AP that spikes have been made of files, bolts and flat bits of welded, sharpened metal have been left on the ground or buried with sharp ends pointing up.
The spikes could seriously injury anyone stepping on one of the hazards, Deen told the AP.
The sheriff also said vandals have stolen and damaged deer cameras, vandalized deer stands and burglarized camp sites, the news agency reported.
