The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has temporarily closed the Cas Cas Road on the Grassy Lake Wildlife Management Area in Avoyelles Parish due to flooding from the Red River.
All remaining roads on the Grassy Lake WMA are open, but additional closures may be implemented pending impacts from rising floodwaters.
The temporary road closures were implemented for public safety and to minimize damage to the roadway. The road will be re-opened once floodwaters recede.
There are no big or small game hunting seasons currently open within the Grassy Lake WMA.
