Louisiana Sportsman Open Bass Championship offers $10,000 top prize

Bass tournament part of 33rd Annual Louisiana Sportsmen’s Show held at Lamar-Dixon Expo Center.

The first Louisiana Sportsman Open Bass Championship to be held March 10-11 in conjunction with the Louisiana Sportsmen’s Show offers anglers the chance to win a guaranteed $10,000 first-place prize.

“The Louisiana Sportsmen’s Show is the perfect venue for a bass tournament, offering a central weigh-location to highlight what a great fishery we have in South Louisiana,” show director Jack Fisher said.

The event, sponsored by Skeeter-Yamaha, will be a two-man team event with daily weigh-ins held at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales.

All entrants will fish the first day, with the top 20 moving on to the final-day competition.
