New hunting, fishing license year begins July 1
Another year has slipped away since you bought your fishing licenses. So don’t forget to purchase your 2013-14 fishing licenses — and you can now start buying your hunting licenses for the upcoming season.Annual licenses are valid from July 1 through June 30, 2014.
They can be purchased at local vendors throughout the state, online or by calling 888-765-2602.
Basic fishing licenses cost $9.50, while saltwater fishing licenses cast $5.50. Senior hunting-and-fishing licenses cost $5 for those older than 60 years on or after June 1, 2000.

Resident hunting licenses cost:
• Basic season — $15
• Big Game — $14
• Bow — $10.50
• Primitive firearm — $10.50
• Louisiana Duck Stamp — $5.50
