Ranger 2350 Bay Ranger

The 2350 Bay Ranger from Ranger Boats in Flippin, Ark., is a serious bay boat, yet also brings an innovative, family-friendly, do-it-all inshore/offshore design to all kinds of anglers. The 2350 packs a bunch of features, is rated for 300 horsepower and has impressive performance in terms of speed and economy.

The 2350 represents the continuing evolution of Ranger’s saltwater line. It boasts excellent fishability, big-water performance and unexpected comfort. Ranger has pulled off a coup by combining the characteristics of a serious saltwater-fishing platform with a host of family-friendly features. It manages to make fishing fun for experienced anglers, plus enhances the on-water experience for beginning saltwater and freshwater anglers.

The 2350 can fish as shallow as 13 inches with the motor up and can handle the chop of crossing a big bay or when the breeze blows up. The 102-inch beam makes it very stable for moving around, casting and fighting fish. It does the job well, whether chasing tailing redfish in the flats, running offshore rigs for kings and snapper or finding lake or river stripers.

The 2350’s features begin up front with an insulated, 120-quart cooler as the front deck step and an oversized fish box built into the starboard side of the deck. A 30-gallon baitwell/livewell is under the leaning post, and upright rod storage is handy on the leaning post and at the rear of the standard, powder-coated hardtop. The port rod storage features a lined, gel-coated interior with 9 feet of storage is linked to Ranger’s patented Power Ventilation Rod Storage™ System, which circulates air from a blower to help dry out tackle and equipment after a day on the water.

Where the 2350 excels, especially with families, is in its creature comforts, beginning across the stern with a comfortable, sofa-style bench seat for up to four passengers. Additional cushioned seating with backrests is forward on both sides over the rod storage and fish boxes, plus a seat on the front of the console. Add a sound system with four speakers integrated into the bolsters and four more built into the hard top, plus LED cockpit lighting, and this is a comfortable boat with family and serious fishing in mind.
