Begins at 12:01 a.m. on Oct. 1
As reported by LouisianaSportsman.com last Tuesday, NOAA Fisheries confirmed on Friday there will be a 14-day red snapper recreational season beginning on Oct. 1.
Federal waters will open for red snapper fishing beginning at 12:01 a.m., and the season will close on Oct. 15 at 12:01 a.m., according to a press release from the Gulf of Mexico Fishery Management Council.
