• Oct. 18-20 — 15th annual Southern Rodmakers Gathering, Mountain Home, Ark. The largest gathering in the South for bamboo rodmakers, collectors and anglers features demos, programs, casting, vendors and more. Registration is $60, and includes all activities and meals. • Oct. 20 — 10th annual Red River National Wildlife Refuge Festival, 555 Sunflower Road in Bossier City. 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Free admission. • Nov. 4-6 — Southern Rendezvous. Annual gathering of fly tiers from Louisiana, Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and elsewhere. North Toledo Bend State Park in Zwolle.
