Northerner’s mind blown by South Louisiana fishing

The Buckeye State has its share of charm, but one thing it will never have is redfish that hit like Tyson and dance like Ali. Catching one of those bruisers wasn’t Dustin Jones’ primary goal when he came to South Louisiana over the holidays with an engagement ring hidden in his luggage, but after his girlfriend said yes, his thoughts turned to the marshes he’d heard so much about over the years.

Marsh Man Masson and his son, Joel, took Dustin out on the windiest of days, but South Louisiana seldom lets anglers down, and it surely wouldn’t in this case.
