July 5 — North Louisiana Fly Fishers Workshop, 6 p.m., Shady Grove Rec Center, Bossier City. Fly tying, knots and casting covered. All skill levels welcome. Go to www.northlaflyfishers.org for session details.

July 14 — Fly Tying Class, 9 a.m.-12 noon, Ascension Parish Library, 708 South Irma Boulevard, Gonzales. No fee. Basics of fresh and saltwater flies. Contact instructor Darrell Crawford at 225-644-7989.
July 19 — Contraband Fly Casters tying session, 6 p.m.-7 p.m., St. Paul Lutheran Church Center, Lake Charles. For info, contact Warren Landry at 337-853-7755.
July 23 — Red Stick Fly Fishers Tying Clinic, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. Locations rotate each month between Bass Pro, Cabelas, Orvis. Check their calendar at www.rsff.org for details.
