Seal had been missing since Sunday morning, LDWF says
Search and rescue teams recovered the body of a missing boater Tuesday morning about 2 miles south of the Butte La Rose landing, according to a news release.
William K. Seal, 56, of Butte La Rose, had been missing since the 15-foot boat he was operating was found unmanned by a tugboat operator about 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 1, the release states.
According to one of Seal’s friends, he got dropped off at the public landing on Oct. 31 for a day of fishing but never returned, according to the release.
His body was found without a personal flotation device, the release states.
