Cell-phone holster will cut down on losing, dumping, dropping

Holster can also house calls, rangefinders, other essentials

The S.M.A.R.T. System Holster from Real Gear is just what the doctor ordered for outdoorsmen who have issues with losing, dropping and dunking cell phones and other small equipment.

Real Gear is a company in Overland Park, Kan., focused on designing outdoor gear that will take a beating and keep on working. The S.M.A.R.T. System holster is their newest item and is primarily designed to keep track of IPhones for outdoorsmen who tend to drop, soak and misplace them.

The S.M.A.R.T. System holster is designed to use with the S.M.A.R.T System full body harness, but it will work independently when the full system is not needed. There is a snap-hook carabineer and coiled lanyard to attach the phone to yourself or gear when duck hunting or fishing so you don’t drop your phone in the water. Phones attached to the user don’t fall from elevated stands either.

The S.M.A.R.T. System holster is designed to fit IPhones and can expand to fit a wide variety of phones and phone cases. It is a modular system with dual quick snaps that allow quickly and silently attaching or detaching the holster whenever needed. The coiled lanyard allows for up to 30 inches of movement.

The unique holster design allows for unobstructed access to the face of the phone, all ports and buttons and the camera lens. The custom frame is ergonomically designed to prevent slippage when holding the phone; specifically when wearing gloves in harsh outdoor conditions. Hunters are also using the S.M.A.R.T. System lanyard and holster to carry rangefinders, game calls and more. Stealth is high on the priority list and there is no mechanical or retractable device that can cause noise to spook an animal.
