The six new graphite rods compliment the previously introduced Tour KVD cranking rods, designed from tip to butt by VanDam himself – from handle length, to tip action, VanDam dialed-in every detail to perfection.
Essentially, VanDam matched a rod to suit each of his favorite lures. For example the TKVDC666F is his choice for 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits, while the 4-inch longer TKVDC6106F is his choice for ½ oz. spinnerbaits, Strike King’s Caffeine Shad and 5” Ocho. HSX64 modulus graphite blanks provide the 3-time Bassmaster Classic Champion fantastic sensitivity and a lightweight blank that won’t wear him out over an intense tournament week.
Baits with treble hooks hanging from their bellies’ have become a big part of Kevin’s game, so six rods made of forgiving, shock reducing E-glass and composite construction (EGC) are offered in lengths from 6’6” to the extra long 7’10” model that KVD uses to launch deep diving Strike King 6 XD lures with. These aren’t your traditional, heavy, fiberglass cranking rods. They are blended with 50-percent graphite, so they’re much lighter for all day fatigue-free cranking.
Comfortable, split EVA foam grips highlight the rods’ handles to increase sensitivity and reduce weight.
