Park manager Jason Guillory said renovations have been completed on the deluxe cabins situated on the lake itself, which means anglers renting this lodging can dock right on the waterfront.
Chicot Lake has two landing areas. South Landing is the larger of the two.
And you don’t have to have a boat to fish the reservoir: There are two 400-foot walk-on piers are placed near the landings. Artificial reefs and sand/gravel beds were constructed adjacent the southern pier to attract panfish and bass.
The park also offers other rental cabins and group camps, as well as primitive and improved campsites, hiking trails, a small waterpark for children, group shelters and picnic areas.
