Four-day total of 48-5 good for sixth B.A.S.S. win
Greg Hackney completed his wire-to-wire domination on the Sabine River, sealing the deal Sunday afternoon for his sixth B.A.S.S. win.
Hackney, of Gonzales, only had a 7-5, five-fish sack on Sunday, but the lead he amassed through the first three days of the competition was good enough for the win. He finished with a four-day total of 48-5.
Gerald Swindle had the bag of the day on Sunday, with five fish going 14-13, but he finished in second place almost 5 pounds back at 43-11.
Keith Poche finished in third place, with 10-7 on Sunday and a total weight of 43 pounds.
