Parker Edwards with two 15-pound red snapper caught out of the south pass rigs in Venice. These snapper were both reeled in at the same time on a double hookup using squid and red snapper throats as bait. If the throats aren’t going on the grill they go back on the hook for some big snapper to tear into. The crew finished with a limit of 8 fish all over 10 pounds and were fishing at a rig in 400 feet of water. The fish however were located in 200-220 feet of water and they were hungry around 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. This trip took place on May 31, 2020.
