Crappie seem like such docile, placid fish, just holding to brush tops and maybe thinking about potentially perhaps getting around to biting something that’s dangling right in front of their faces. You know, if they’re in the mood and feeling just a slight bit hungry.
Reality is, these fish are savages.
Fish them this way, and you’ll find out. They’ll hit like a ton of bricks falling on your line, and they’ll do everything they can to rip the rod from your hands.
