On only his second year bowhunting, William Debnam, 10, killed his No. 1 target buck and first bow buck on Jan. 30 in Ouachita Parish. He killed him with his Diamond Edge 320 bow set at 41 pounds. The shot was 10 yards, and they watched the buck drop after running about 50 yards with a lung shot. This was right after a big ice storm, and the cold weather had the deer moving predictably to food sources.
