Victoria Fonda had this bronze phase turkey on camera all deer season and she knew it was the turkey she wanted to kill. She hunted him on the opening morning, but he was late to fly down and went straight to his hens. The morning of April 3, she set up and he gobbled on the limb and then never said a single word once he was on the ground. The big bird came in with two hens and went straight to the decoys. Fonda shot him at 25 yards with her Beretta A400 20 gauge. The gobbler had a 10-inch beard and weighed 20 pounds.
