A good friend and fellow veteran, Richard Russell, invited Jamie Yancey and his dog to partake in a flooded timber hunt on his property for the Veteran & Youth day on Feb. 4.
“It was a cold sunny morning and the mallards were cooperating! We had barely gotten set up and the mallards were coming in. We managed to bag our limit of mallards and fill the rest with one green-winged teal and woodies. Honey, (my dog), picked up every duck. She was amazing and had as good a time as us!”
