Zack Cabler shot a trophy gobbler in East Feliciana Parish on April 6, 2025 with a Mossberg 930 Turkey gun and Federal TSS ammo at about 20 yards. And it wasn’t just the 10-inch beard that made the big bird a trophy.
Cabler’s turkey also had a unique set of double spurs on each leg, a trait that is far more rare than turkeys having multiple beards, according to the National Wild Turkey Federation.
