The morning of Dec. 21, 2025, Kyler Roberts was on the Tensas National Wild Refuge. It was a hot, quiet morning similar to the last morning he killed a great buck on this same public land. He had seen a really good buck in the area but never got a shot. Kyler said, “I heard a buck chasing a doe and grunting all morning but never seen them. The wind started to pick up to about 10-12 mph and then a doe came running around 9:30 and there he came right behind her and the rest is history.”
