Jordan Clark got this nice buck on Jan. 4, 2025.
“One deer first showed up on camera January of 2023 toward the end of the season. At that time he was an 8-point but we noticed he was blind in his left eye. Fall of 2023 he shows up and is a good 9-point. I hunted him hard all of the 2023-24 season and had pictures of him regularly but always at night. I passed on multiple deer that season in hopes he would show up. He just never did. The 2024 season comes and he’s put on more mass. The season goes on but more of the same as the previous years, steady pictures of him but never in daylight. I hunted him every chance I got passing every deer I seen. First picture I ever got of him in daylight was Christmas Eve evening and of course I wasn’t there. I was sick. I hunted even harder after that. On Jan. 4 2025, sitting in the stand, I see a doe bolt out the woods and knew something was chasing her. I threw my gun up waiting and sure enough he comes out. I shot and dropped him in some sage grass. Excited and on cloud 9 I put my gun down and just sat there for a few minutes. I’m texting my brother that I got him and he’s down. When I look back up there’s a buck standing there and he darts off in the woods and my heart sinks. All I could think was did I back whack him and he got back up? Fear has officially sank in and I’m nervous. A few minutes later, I get up to go check for blood. Sure enough there he is laying in the sage grass! As I thought he was just blind in one eye I was wrong. His eye was pushed so far back into his head you couldn’t hardly see it.”
