Jesse Stallings filled his last tag Dec. 28 on his biggest bow buck on public land in Area 1.
“I had seen five other bucks that morning and a few does mixed in. I had a doe come running under the tree I was in with two smaller bucks hot on her trail, and not even 5 minutes later this one came walking down the same trail they took nose in the air. When I saw him I knew he was going to walk right under my tree so I got set up and was able to take the shot at 7 yards. The arrow flew true and I heard him crash just out of sight.”
