Six-year-old Jesse Perritt killed his first buck, this 6-point, on Nov. 29, 2025 in West Feliciana Parish. He shot him at 50 yards with his .350 Legend.
“My 6-year-old son Jesse Perritt killed his first buck on Nov. 29, 2025 in West Feliciana Parish. This buck had been on the top of his list since well before the season started. He hunted six times through the month of November and passed on 13 different deer, even though he had the green light to shoot whatever he wanted. He was insistent that he was going to shoot “his” buck. The week before Thanksgiving he came down with the flu and was out of commission for about a week. Finally, on Nov. 29, he was able to make a hunt and got the opportunity to kill his buck. He shot him at 50 yards with his .350 legend and made a great shot. The deer jumped in the air and ran straight towards our blind. Stopping at 20 yards before wobbling and falling. After a long hug and much excitement, we quickly went to recover his kill. The 6-point weighed in at 173 pounds and created a memory neither of us will ever forget.”
