“On the morning of Dec. 21, I was running some errands in town and dealing with a horrible cough. I called my dad to let him know I wouldn’t make our family Christmas party since I wasn’t feeling well. That was partially true, but I had this big buck that showed up on camera the day before on my mind as well. Well, I headed to the camp and got in stand at 1:30 p.m. We hunt in Marksville at Corbett Farms. What do you know, the buck shows up and gives me a broadside shot at 20 yards with my bow. I watched him run off and pile up 40 yards away. I immediately called my wife to let her know I shot the biggest buck of my life. My dad also got a call to let him know. After I was done shaking, about 20 minutes later (no joke) I got down and went back to camp. I came back with Chris Krampe and we recovered my deer. A great deer and personal best. So happy and blessed to do it in Louisiana. The buck scored 150 1/8.”
