“Five-year-old Hazel Virgets, accompanied by her father, Thomas Virgets , got her first kill ever. It was this beautiful turkey on youth day at Young Ranch in Centreville, Mississippi. In Thomas‘s words, “we saw a flock in the pasture with a few toms. We made a big loop to get ahead of them, spotted them at about 100 yards then crawled about 30 yards closer. I popped up the decoy and three Tom’s came right in. With one shot all on her own, Hazel got the turkey. She was so excited she FaceTimed her mom, Mallory, and her younger sister and brother to tell them about the exciting adventure.”
