My name is Sythonh Sysavath out of Breaux Bridge Louisiana. I was very fortunate enough to down this nice buck out of Lake D’Arbonne National Wild Life Refuge this weekend.. my first ever deer at that! This is the first year I’ve started hunting. I’ve always had an interest in it, I just never fully committed until this year. I’ve been going with my good buddy Tommy, who I’ve always gone fishing with the past years. I owe this deer to him since he pretty much taught me everything he knew about hunting, and he has been doing it for 15 plus years. I shot the deer around 5:15 pm Saturday evening, right before it was about to get dark. I saw it had a rack on it right before I pulled the trigger, but I didn’t realize how big he actually was until we finally found him about 50 yards from where I shot. I wasn’t expecting my very first deer to be this nice of a deer!
