On Jan. 15, Emarie Bordelon, 9, daughter of Jordan Bordelon and Meghan Bordelon, harvested her first buck on D&B property located in the Morganza Spillway.
“Emarie initially had a spike in her sights, but seemed to never give the opportunity for a clear shot. With gun on her shoulder and the spike in her sights her dad noticed this 10-point make his way to the food plot around 65 yards away. Emarie then adjusted her sights on this buck. Emarie shot, the buck jumped, then turned back broadside and stopped. Emarie shot again with the buck running off this time. The blood trail was found by her Poppie, Robert Bordelon, who led her straight to her deer. 10 point down! After studying the shot, the first shot hit and the second shot was a miss. Could have saved that bullet, but we weren’t taking any chances! What a hunt!”
