Jerry Bailey got his first doe with horns.
“Over the years, I’ve been fortunate in the woods and have been blessed with some amazing hunts and a lot of big bucks and deer in general! But this one puts the icing on the cake. Since I could remember I have been completely addicted to deer hunting and the highs and lows involved in taking one. I’ve always been a public land hunter basically hunting the unknown and taking what has been given and never going after one specific deer, but this year I opted for a new challenge. To find one and take that one. It was harder than I expected but its done. Each year we get older, slower, and with me fatter, but there’s always a time for a first time. At 33 years old, I’ve killed my first deer in general on my birthday ever AND my first doe with horns! I set sights on her in early August and stayed with her. The last piece of the puzzle come together this morning with a SW wind. Its been an amazing season thus far and just getting started!”
