Bradford James Sigur’s first deer

Bradford James Sigur, 6, from New Iberia harvested his first deer on Sept. 28 in Hicks, La., for the opening youth season. The successful shot was made from 90 yards away with a Windham Weaponry .223 with his proud father, Ryan, guiding him along the way. Bradford was determined to “drop his first deer” before his 7th birthday for bragging rights as his older brother, Foster, was 7 years old at the time of his first harvest back in 2023. Bradford made it happen five days before his 7th birthday which is on Oct. 3 — also now designated as Hunting Heritage Day in Louisiana.
