“My three friends and I have been chasing the buck we named “Texas” since 2018 on our property. We choose the name “Texas” because he had horns that went straight out past his ears with very little mass just like an old west Texas buck. Over the past four and five years he grew into a stud of a buck for anywhere in the country much less the piney hills of Washington Parish. On Jan. 20, I was finally able to catch up to this ole stud. He was an 11-point that unofficially scored 160 4/8 inches with a 19 7/8-inch inside spread that held the mass all of the way through. Blessed is an understatement.”
