When it comes to fishing, Capt. Mike Gallo is somewhat of a mad scientist, constantly field-testing different gear and techniques to give himself an edge over the speckled trout, redfish and anything else that calls the Lake Pontchartrain Basin home.
On a recent trip, he showed the effectiveness of fishing drop-shot rigs at the Trestle, and taught viewers how he likes to tie them.
