Wesley Faulk’s first redfish

Three-year-old Wesley Faulk of Kaplan caught his very first redfish on July 11 while fishing north of the Freshwater City locks along the rocks. Wesley made the cast all by himself and started reeling in the fish before his mom, Britlyn Faulk, and dad, DJ Faulk, helped bring it safely into the boat. His first-ever redfish measured 18.5 inches and was a keeper, making it a fishing memory the family will never forget! Wesley said “I’m so happy, I caught the papa fish!!”
