This 1.41-pound bream was caught by Quentin Miller of Mamou on May 14 at Miller’s Lake. He was using a Zebco 33 with a No. 8 hook, a pencil Cork and 8-pound test.
“It was hooked just off of a duck blind in some lily pads. When I originally hooked him, I thought it was a bass. I have been fishing this lake all my life. It is known for big fish, but I have never caught a bream of that size. This is the perfect time of the year to find bream on beds at Miller’s Lake.”
