Baton Rouge’s Myles Maynard and his friend, Michael Meredith, both 14, landed two trophy redfish near Lake Peigneur on the Delcambre Canal on March 28.
The first measured 42 inches and roughly 30–40 pounds. The bull red put up an unforgettable fight. It was a team effort taking them 20 minutes to get it onto the bank. It was one of those catches we’ll be talking about for years! The second bull red was 39 1/2 inches and about 30 pounds.
