Amberjack on light tackle
A great Memorial Day weekend out of Port Fourchon in our 32” Gaudet Catamaran. I landed all of these fish on lighter tackle – a Penn 5000 spinning reel with 65lb braid and 40lb monofilament leader! The Amberjack was a surprise bonus catch and quite the fight on this set up. Great trip to open up the season!
