Jack Delaune, 11, caught this 35-pound drum in Pointe-aux-Chenes on June 12, 2026. He was using a Berkley Lightning Rod and Abu Garcia reel. This was his first big fish. He was so excited to catch a fish similar to his grandfather’s that was caught in the 90’s and featured in Louisiana Sportsman.
