Hunter Hamilton’s new personal best

Hunter Hamilton (TheBassHunter) got his personal best bass at Bussey Brake on May 2, 2022.

“After finishing my bass fishing state championship I asked my dad if we could visit a big bass lake the next day “on the way home.” It turned out to be a day I’ll never forget. The morning began with my buddy and I flipping bushes with some success boating a 4 pounder and a 2 pounder before a 30 minute lull. But that would all change after flipping into lily pads some brush and a submerged tree, the “big bass triangle.” When she bit it I couldn’t move her, she actually started pulling me into the tree. I knew I got a good hook set so I just started winding her out of the thick cover. I got her up to the side of the boat and my buddy reached out and lipped her to lift her in the boat. Once I finally calmed down, I worked to get the hook out, she was pegged good. After it was all said and done I had my new personal best bass in the boat at 12.63 pounds and over 27 inches long. After a bunch of pictures and video I let that fish swim away happy and healthy to be caught again some day to bring joy to another angler.”
