Robby Scott caught, tagged and released this huge alligator gar on a 1/0 live bait single hook and heavy braid as leader in southeast Louisiana.
“The size of this fish indicates that it could be well over 40 years old. I caught it on a 1/0 live bait single hook and heavy braid as leader to prevent harm, and my goal is to bring awareness to this species so we can one day get limits on the larger, breeder gator gar like every other state, so we can see these native giants roam like they once did.
